Products

Plastital offers a wide range of films for industrial packaging in various types of polymers such as LDPE LLDPE HDPE EVA PP of fossil origin or bio-attributed, made through the production technology of blown extrusion.

Our products can be customised in the flexographic printing, cutting, welding and rewinding departments, and cover the needs of all sectors from Agriculture and Food, Automotive and Transport & Logistics, to Textile Converting and Building & Construction.

At this moment, Plastital wants to look to the future by reducing its environmental impact to a minimum and is committed to developing SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTS, both by using polymers of vegetable and circular origin and by transforming polymers from mechanical recycling. It has modified its production departments with small highly technological plants aimed at optimising energy savings and reducing the environmental impact of the transformation. It has invested in a photovoltaic system on the roof, which currently guarantees coverage for 15% of our energy requirement but will soon reach 30%.

Sustainable origin of raw materials: Reva Bio and Bio-Circular Attributed

For our ECOLOGICAL TRANSACTION we have focused on the sustainability of our raw materials, shifting from fossil origin to vegetable origin with the BIO-ATTRIBUTED and BIO-CIRCULAR ATTRIBUTED line of VERSALIS, a chemical company belonging to ENI, which provides us with a range of products made from biodiesel.

Our Bio Attributed (REVA BA) products use polymers obtained from biodiesel from biological raw materials (e.g. vegetable oils).
Our Bio-Circular Attributed (REVA BCA) products use polymers obtained from biodiesel obtained biological and circular raw materials (e.g. used cooking oils or other types of organic waste).

Polymers BA and BCA can be used in production processes together with traditional raw materials to attribute the sustainability characteristics to the final product. Plastital applies the Mass Balance approach, a recognised methodology that guarantees a correspondence between the sustainability characteristic of the raw material alternative, mixed with traditional naphtha, and that of the final product.

BA and BCA products are accompanied by a sustainability declaration which indicates the quantity of the Bio or Bio-Circular attributed component. They guarantee identical performance, quality and properties, with no difference in chemical composition and physical-mechanical performance in relation to standard products. Furthermore, they make it possible to create finished products suitable for direct food contact. In 2021 Plastital obtained the ISCC PLUS certification for packaging produced with sustainable raw materials, from biodiesel at the Sanremo site. ISCC PLUS is part of the ISCC (International Sustainability & Carbon Certification) certification scheme. It is voluntary in nature and allows companies across the entire supply chain to monitor and demonstrate the sustainability of their products through checks on sustainability, traceability and mass balance.

Sustainable origin of raw materials: mechanically recycled products (REVA PSV)

We are overcoming the idea that BIODEGRADABLE is necessarily environmentally friendly. PLASTIC is not biodegradable and for this reason it is RECYCLABLE and recycling is sustainable and environmentally-friendly. With mechanical and chemical recycling we can recreate objects and we can achieve a circular economy. The SECOND LIFE PLASTIC certification allows us to guarantee the recycled origin of our products.

MECHANICALLY RECYCLED polymers can be obtained through the mechanical recycling of waste from industrial processes, i.e. PRE-CONSUMER RECYCLED polymers, or those from urban waste collection: POST-CONSUMER RECYCLED polymers.

Our PRE-CONSUMER RECYCLED PRODUCTS FROM INDUSTRIAL WASTE (REVA LDPSVSI) use at least 60% pre-consumer recycled raw materials (or more where possible).

Our POST-CONSUMER RECYCLED PRODUCTS FROM SEPARATE COLLECTION (REVA LDPSVRD) use at least 60% post-consumer recycled raw materials (or more where possible).

Our RECYCLED PRODUCTS FROM MIX ECO (REVA LDPSVME) use at least 30% pre and/or post-consumer recycled raw materials (or more where possible).

Plastital's goal is to ensure an overall reduction in the environmental impact of its finished products while keeping the technical characteristics requested by the customer as unchanged as possible.

All these products can be easily identified with a PSV brand print (3 brands). By printing these brands, the customer can highlight their environmental commitment.

Plastital is has optained its SECOND LIFE PLASTIC certification for packaging produced with recycled raw materials. PSV is a brand owned exclusively by the Institute for the Promotion of Recycled Plastics (Istituto per la Promozione delle Plastiche da Riciclo, IPPR). It is an environmental product certification system dedicated to the materials and items obtained from up-cycling plastic waste from recycling or other post-consumption circuits, and materials and products obtained from industrial waste. The brand only certifies the traceability and the recycled content.

Sustainable origin of raw materials: reva duo - second life plastic reduces the cost of bioattributed products

Producing polymers from biodiesel (BA and BCA) is expensive and has an impact on the value of the final product, which is economically sustainable but not negligible.

Combining recycled SECOND LIFE PLASTIC raw materials with BIO ATTRIBUTED and BIO-CIRCULAR ATTRIBUTED polymers means combining two recycling technologies but also REDUCING THE COST of the finished product.

In a MIXED product, we combine the technical characteristics of the BIO-ATTRIBUTED polymer (expensive) with the RECYCLED polymer (cheaper), obtaining a product with the physical-mechanical performance of the former at a lower cost.

Our REVA DUO LDPSVSI-BA products use at least 60% pre-consumer recycled raw materials and the rest is BIO-ATTRIBUTED polymers.
Our REVA DUO LDPSVRD-BA products use at least 60% post-consumer recycled raw materials and the rest is BIO ATTRIBUTED polymers.

With REVA DUO we can produce all the products that do not have FOOD CONTACT with the maximum sustainability and the lowest cost.

OUR PRODUCTS ARE THE sustainable ANSWER TO YOUR NEEDS.

GREEN DEAL CO2 REDUCTION

The EUROPEAN UNION has set itself the goal of reducing CO2 emissions by 50% by 2030. However, our goal must be more ambitious: we do not have time and we cannot wait. We must learn to consume sustainable products and we must learn to produce them and invest to produce them.

Unfortunately, in our world the economic lever is the only stimulus that pushes us to act. We expect a European tax on emissions with a consequent deduction system linked to their reduction, perhaps because it is taken as given that it is the only way to achieve goal of the GREEN DEAL.

We therefore see the future of our world in overcoming products of fossil origin, and plastic as a derivative of petroleum. Producing monomers from used vegetable oils sounds like science fiction but it is reality. We can now produce all the most technical polymers with BIODIESEL with acceptable costs, reducing emissions by 80%.
